Best restaurants in Phoenix AZ

When you have limited time in Phoenix, it's hard to decide where you should eat today and what you should wait for next time. In that regard, your Chandler Weight Loss Consultant came up with this list of the top restaurants to visit in Phoenix.

The Stockyards Steakhouse

Storied steakhouse presenting a beef-heavy menu in Wild West-inspired, saloon-like quarters. Walking through the door is like stepping back in time, it's very rustic to the period. The food was prepared as ordered, and the steak was perfect. The staff was very polite and courteous and attended to our every need promptly. The 1889 saloon is a site to see, so do so before or after you have dinner. It is highly recommended for lunch, dinner, or drinks.

Chelsea's Kitchen

Bustling, industrial-chic eatery featuring American comfort fare & a patio overlooking the canal. Very cool spot! When you walk up to the front door you are hit with this amazing smell from their outdoor bbq pit. We sat on the back patio, a great atmosphere. The food, drinks, and service are amazing! Braised short rib tacos, kale slaw spectacular! Sea bass special, roasted veggies, and potato were delicious! I really liked the setting of this place. I sat in the bar because I was alone. The view of the patio was very appealing. I had a cocktail called Goodnight Emily (I think) that was delicious. All of them seemed to be exquisite. The guacamole with chips was 5 stars and my swordfish taco was tasty. A little bit expensive maybe but the service and the atmosphere worth it.

Cocina Madrigal Tacos + Tequila

A menu featuring classic Mexican fare & drinks, specializing in tacos, with bar & patio seating. Amazing! Not going to lie this was rather difficult to find because there weren't any flashy signs and from the outside, it doesn't look like anything special. But, the inside tells a whole different story. Mexican themed atmosphere, decoration, music, etc. Small bar, table, and booth seating. Service was very friendly and had a positive sense of humor that was a nice interaction. Best Mexican food I have had in a long time. Classic chips with guacamole but with a twist of jalapeno-bacon added. Fantastic enchiladas, the beans, and rice were just the right amounts of side servings. Finally, the dessert was beautifully prepared and the chocolate just melted in my mouth. I wish I could give six stars because everything seemed freshly prepared and served. Highly recommend this place.

Pomegranate Café

Vegan, raw, or gluten-free food & juices served in a tiny neighborhood spot with sidewalk seating. We love homemade organic food when we eat out so we chose the Pomegranate that looked like it fit the bill. Tried four different plates from Happy Hour Menu - street taco, cauliflower taco, cheese crisp, and mac and cheese. All were very delicious but noted that the mac and cheese had a different taste. That is when we found out everything was vegan - all cheese was made from veggies. Wow - very impressed.

CK's Tavern & Grill

Unpretentious neighborhood watering hole with sports on the TV & a menu of classic pub grub. One of the best restaurants/bars I have ever been to. People are so congenial and friendly. Great drink specials and one of if not the best Cobb salad that I have ever had.

Tūk Kafe

Casual, bi-level eatery offering hearty breakfast fare alongside comfort lunch & dinner classics. High-quality food in a beautiful setting for a low price. Modern, friendly atmosphere with a lot of additional seating upstairs and outdoors, lovely setting to grab a bite solo or meet with friends and family for brunch! Easy to read the menu with vegetarian-friendly options! Portions were perfect as was the price.

Arrivederci Trattoria

Relaxed, romantic restaurant supplying traditional Italian entrees & pasta dishes. Great authentic Italian restaurant. The food was great, they offer a special every day that is not on the menu. We had the lobster ravioli and it was the best lobster ravioli I've ever had. I recommend this place if you want great Italian food with an authentic Italian experience.

Va Bene

Italian fare & wines are showcased at this white-tablecloth, art-adorned restaurant with a patio. I loved the variety on their menu. Every dish we ordered was great. We ordered muscles and eggplant with cheese for appetizers and for entrees: gnocchi with vodka sauce (pictured), grouper, veal, and rib eye. Nice wine selection too.

Spinato's Pizzeria and Family Kitchen

Branch of an informal, family-owned local chain serving pizzas & home-style Italian eats. Outstanding gluten-free pizza and gluten-free sandwiches! Can't even tell its gluten-free. Pistachio gelato tasted homemade and everyone there was very friendly, helpful, and attentive.

Thai Delight

A light-filled space serving classic Thais dishes in a family-friendly setting with modern decor. This restaurant was a great find, the owners have a fun backstory of life in Thailand and now live in the states. Everything that we have had there is very authentic and tasty. Recommended going for lunch as their lunch service includes soup and salad. Whether you like non-spicy Thai food or extra spicy Thai food you won't be disappointed. If you enjoy Pad Thai highly recommend it. The staff is always accommodating and helpful; the restaurant is very clean and spotless. It is noticeable the amount of pride they take in their restaurant. You can't beat the price and the amount of quality food that you get.
